Tropical Swell Update

Tropical Storm Bertha continues to move away from Bermuda after battering the island Monday. Rain has ended over the island, and winds will continue to diminish through the day. Dangerous surf will continue to impact the coastal waters around Bermuda, with seas slowly subsiding as well as the day progresses.

As of 11 a.m. E.D.T., Bertha was located about 260 miles north-northeast of Bermuda with maximum sustained winds around 70 miles per hour, primarily in thunderstorms in the eastern half of the storm.
