So again i went out today...it doesn't look like much but when you get out there you soon start to realise its a lot better then what it looks. Perhaps not the long duration of west coast as we might of hoped for but we did get a very good south coast. Most of us were spoilt for choice. We even had a couple sessions at freights bay. We took the lesson down to pebbles as the south coast has a nice swell running so frieghts bay is a little too big for beginners. Pebbles is in carlisle bay so it is more sheltered then other locations. Today drill hall has got a nice 5ft set coming in and maybe a bit bigger some sets. It isnt the cleanest conditions but to have a solid wall down to the hilton is nice. We are lucky to be getting waved like this around this time of year. Funny thing is magicseaweed nor surfline are really getting these swells right. But nevermind just do what we all did before those sites were about. We have had some pretty consistent swells on the south coast. Not every day is that brilliant but most days are good. It always seems the best days is when you have to work. Brandons has had a nice little wave every day due to this south wind. Its great to see all the kids on easter vacation enjoying themselves. The level of surfing by the groms is really nice to watch. The kids seem to be pushing each other to improve. Still the regular shredders out there and the old boys as well.
