Barbados gets great waves all year round. Barbados is located in the Atlantic Ocean, East of the Caribbean chain of islands. Swells are able to travel for thousands of miles from across the ocean without interruption and roll straight into Barbados’ surrounding reefs making Barbados a surfers' paradise.
Barbados has waves all year. There are reefs on every coastline surrounding Barbados so whatever direction the swell comes from there will always be waves on the island.
The winter typically gives us strong swell's over on the East coast the Soup Bowl especially. from November throught to the otherside of January expect Soup Bowl to provide the goods. Otherwise, the South coast will work when the East is too blown out. Strong North swell's will light up the West coast and all of the breaks along it. Do not expect any West coast action in the summer but do expect the odd hurricane swell that makes everything fun.
