Barbados Waves

After another North swell that never really made it happen Barbados has gone into one of its extra special and never to be predicted flat spot lulls. Last week the island had heeps of North swell and it never really landed anywhere. Yeah sure we managed to get behind every spot that it landed on all the days of the week but always the swell only had an hour tops of waves worth surfing. North swell to Barbados means waves all over the west coast looking much like those cover shots of magazines. It should always be head high or more. Now small swell is something you have to deal with and you can deal with if the swell had not been pumped up by such reputable sources and "surf lies" and "magic scum bag". These well known sites have got to get real. Surfline.com has a fantastic report for Soup Bowl but just cant predict swell anywhere else and magicseaweed.com just always over estimates the action that is about to unfold. It is a bit like telling a two year what he is going to get for christmas and then forgetting to get him anything at all. My way of fighting back is screw these swell predicting sites and go and look at the bay, if your on the island of Barbados. Lets go back to using our own unique knowledge of local surf and get back to the team of mates wibe. Lets not go to South Point, Sandy lane or any of the other tourist spots lets get back to surfing what you saw before you. This means I wont see you in the line up not unless you are rolling with me!
