Dawn patrol this morning saw us meander our way to South Point. It was the most miserable weather the island has had in weeks. was pouring and the wind was crazy. On the beach I watched some traveling surfer's, pro's of course, get beaten by the current. To those who know South Point they pushed off from the round rock and ended up closer to Freights bay than the line up.
Watching the rain from inside the car enjoying a coffee it was time to decide go in or go home?
Get wet was the decision and a good decision it was. South point was by no means good but challenging. It was tough to make the section from the top nd more often than not a floater to air drop was the safest way to avoid being munched. Wall was a plenty in the bottom although hard to find that perfect wave that would take you all the way down the road. The chop made nose riding interesting and with random close outs too it was interesting. Kane had a session that surprised me he is just always on fire at the moment he can do no wrong.
Gotta go a put a lesson session in right now but this afternoon folks dotn follow me its abot surfing and east coast I hear is clean and wind free. dont let me catch you there I a pumped and not about sharing today... haha!
